02.26.09 :: Paul received the 2009 Michigan Music Teachers Association (MMTA) Commission.

10.22.08 :: Paul was nominated for an award from the American Academy of Arts and Letters.

03.28.08 :: Paul was chosen for a 2008 Morton Gould ASCAP Award for his piano trio Dani's Dance (2007).

03.08.08 :: Paul was awarded second prize in the 2008 Pioneer Valley Symphony Competition. Fellow Michigan M.M. student Takuma Itoh was awarded first prize.

02.11.08 :: Paul was chosen to be a Composition Fellow for the Aspen Music Festival Composition Master Class with Christopher Rouse and Sydney Hodkinson, in Summer 2008.
